bakes & cakes 12

fresh strawberry top with strawberry jelly
on a cheese tart
Yummylicious...made this for DH family and they love it, the week after I made the another one bila balik kampung.. ...tak cukup, sorang dapat one small piece je..
The extra dough from the big cheese tart I use to make normal size cheese tart..this one we  ate at home
Remember this kuih? Basic cookie using a cookie press...also known as spritz cookie, used to be very popular in my kampung during raya...same dough recipe, just different shape & colours... I use a normal butter cookie recipe but use blue colouring...request from Irfan. The only thing is it turned more towards green because of the butter and egg yolk inside the dough. The kids had fun choosing the shape that they want and have a try at 'pressing' the cookie press. Sedap!
choc lollipop with oreo cookie inside, top with peppermint flavoured choc
 cinnamon rolls..request from DH
DH & Alia memang suka makan ni..

Hi Ezlin, wow! I love this...so colourful. And all look 5 star.....
Your well taken pics really brought out the beauty of your cakes.
I love that strawberry cake....And I can imagine everyone having second helpings too.

Ezlin....here's a recipe for you....if you not busy playing golf, ha ha.
If you make it, send me telegram.
This recipe is actually world famous...eaten and acclaimed by world leaders, as well famous writers and Hollywood celebrities.....

Tropical scones.
65 g : Sugar
65 g : Butter
1 - : Eggs
450 g : Flour
30 g : Baking powder
250 ml : Milk
65 g : Raisins
1 - : Eggs
salt, pepper to taste

Pre heat the oven to 200c.
Combine the butter and sugar in a cake mixer.
Mix until fluffy and creamy, then add the egg.
Add the flour and baking powder and mix until a crumble forms.

Pour in the milk and mix to a smooth texture. Do not overwork as the mixture will toughen. Add the raisins.
Lightly flour a smooth surface and roll out the dough to about 3cm thick. Use the cookie cutter to cut out individual pieces. Glaze with the egg mixture.

Place the scones on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, allow to cool and serve, ideally, with kaya, jam, clotted cream, farm-fresh butter and a hot pot of tea.

Have a nice day, and keep a song in your heart.
Lee.
