a flash back to the past

since i shifted to the new place i didn't really go out much for lunch. after all, where would you go? there's not many places to eat and even if there are, the food are mostly the same...nasi campur. But on the days that i do go out, i make a point to wander around the area. guess what i found? bedak buku nyonya zaman dulu2...the one that my grandma use to used. the one that i secretly play with when grandma was not in the room...it has been ages since i last saw it and it didn't occur to me that it was still in the market. i don't know whether to laugh or cry when i saw that...ulu sangat ke tempat i keje ni? ada ke orang pakai bedak ni lagi? in this area?
i also saw a bedak which i call calamine-lotion -like now..i don't know whether anybody still remember this stuff from way back when i was a toddler/preschool kid. but seeing those stuff being sold in an area where i work changes my perspective of the community there. it's probably just a 15-20 minutes drive to shah alam but some of those stuff you'll never find in shah alam. then again, probably it's not as bad as it looks...

Ini sy dn Tintin (kucing).Tintin memang kuat berlari bila kitorang bukak pintu je Tintin nk lari.Tintin ni bukan kucing dewasa dia masih baby lagi.Mk dia dh mati kena langgar dengan kereta.
Yg ni Irfan& sy pulak ambik gambar dengan Tintin.Masa nk ambik Tintin kan.. Alia rasa excited betul nk ambik Tintin.masa dh sampai kt umh jiran tengok2 tuannya tk de.Malam tu kitorang pergi lagi kt umh jiran nk ambik Tintin.Pastu tengok2 tk de.Esok tu kitorang pergi kt umh jiran nk ambik Tintin tengok2 tuannya ada.Jadi kitorang ambiklah Tintin.

i wanted to eat here dah lama dah but only managed to convinced DH to go last month. pergi pakai GPS -set the shortest route but turn up to take the longest time coz of traffic lights etc....kuar rumah kul 8, sampai kul 9.15 and saw about 25 people outside...rupa-rupanya kena masuk dalam wait list dulu...ada 4 groups in front of us. tak pe dah drive jejauh might as well wait..i wonder..is it amy or is it the food?

look at the time when we were finally seated and ordered..

suma dah lapar...kalau bole pinggan pun nak makan..nasib baik service was fast...15 minutes lauk dah siap

the dish that makes it worthwhile...prawn cooked with salted egg yolk...yummm, now i know why my chinese friends like this dish so much..reminds me of buttered lobster we had in sabah ..we went back using DUKe highway which only took 30 minutes to reach shah alam...wah..kalau cam ni bole la pegi lagi next time
